About Us
Pedernal (PeH-dEn-yul) is a new technical brand focused on
designing gear and apparel for both outdoor and urban use with an emphasis o
shells and backpacks. Founded by indigenous two students out of Albuquerque New
Mexico, we initially started as a school project with aims to fundraise for
local conservation organizations around Albuquerque.
Meet the Founders
Riley:
Spends most of his downtime scrolling all-trails, drinking redbull, and studying for his next exams. If he’s not hiking, fishing, or snowboarding in one of the numerous mountain ranges within driving distance of Albuquerque, you can find him in UNM’s Zimmerman library questioning his choice to pursue mechanical engineering.
Kairi:
Initially pursuing computer science, now you can find DJ’ing at local clubs
around Albuquerque or working on new songs in his room/studio. If not doing
that, you can find him hiking the canyons and mountain ranges around the Dinétah—that
is the homeland of the Navajo people.
